  • Chances are, if you are here, yes therapy will help! People that benefit from therapy are people that see a need for change in their life and are willing to do something different in their lives to achieve that. When you have a therapist that is trained in theory and technique and knows the research about your condition, you are much more likely to succeed through psychotherapy. If you feel you are a good fit at Power of the Mind Psychology, it is likely you will benefit from the process!

  • You may benefit from therapy if you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unable to manage your emotions the way you used to. Common signs include persistent anxiety, low mood, difficulty sleeping, changes in appetite, trouble concentrating, increased irritability, or feeling disconnected from others. You might also notice strained relationships, recurring conflict, or using unhealthy coping strategies like avoidance or substance use.

Therapy can help when life feels harder than it should, when stress is interfering with your daily functioning, or when you simply want support, clarity, or personal growth. You don’t need to wait for a crisis—seeking help is a strong step toward feeling better and gaining tools to create meaningful change.

  • Of course the length of time it takes to feel relief depends on the complexity of your situation, your level of activation in treatment, and your willingness to try something different; but typically you should feel some relief within 4-6 sessions. You may likely require additional sessions depending on your goals, but you should feel we are moving forward with each session and that you are making progress back to be the person you want to be.
